Double Your Welcome Flow Revenue

Today’s email is going to be a straight action item.
You implement this 1 change that takes 2 minutes of work and you make double the revenue from your welcome flow in the next 10 days.

Double Welcome Flow Revenue…
This is one of my favourite little tricks with email marketing.
A secret that will allow you to tap into unrealised revenue, completely on autopilot.
You don’t need a new list, or even to create a new email.
You have everything you need. It just needs to be unlocked.
It's one of those things that you only know if you’ve lived in Klaviyo for the best part of 2 years (like I have).
I’ll spill the beans for you right here in this email.
The trick I’m talking about is ‘Back-Populating’ your welcome flow.
What does that mean?
It means taking your welcome flow and sending it to all the people on your list who haven’t already received it.
You might use this strategy if you’ve recently launched a new welcome flow that past subscribers haven’t seen.
Another option is if you are beginning to take email seriously and want to warm up your list again.
This is especially great if you’re running an agency and have just started working with a new client. You’ll start PRINTING from day one, and your relationship with that client will get off to a very strong start.
So how do you do it?
Simple:
Create a new segment titled ‘Back-Populated Welcome Series’
Definition:
Someone is in your ‘Newsletter’ list (or whatever your main list is they go to when submitting their details through your pop-up form).
AND
The person was added before whatever date your welcome series was updated.
So if you launched your welcome series on April 22nd, you would set this date to be April 21st.
Go to your current welcome series flow & clone it (image below)
Rename the new flow & set the trigger as the segment you created in step 1
Tweak the copy in the first Welcome Email
These people have potentially been on your list for months or years. You don’t want to write to them like they just signed up.
Switch up the angle of your first welcome email to something like…
Welcome to the new [brand name]
And take the angle that you’re rebranding your email list to be more of a 'VIP’ feel and they’ll get a lot of benefits.
Give them a ‘Welcome’ offer as you normally would.
Set the entire flow live (this won’t send to anyone yet though)
Go to ‘manage flow’ and select Back-Populate Flow Recipients
Select: Schedule for each step relative to the date someone was added to my list/segment
This will ensure everyone receives the flow in the correct order.
Select ‘Back-Populate Flow’ and collect your cash
