gratitude & swallowing razor blades
Hey Team,
I’ve been sick for the last 2 days. Sore throat and all that business.
Drinking water feels like swallowing razor blades.
Luckily I haven’t had brain fog too badly so I can still work a bit.
But when I was lying in bed this morning (slept in for about 2 hours longer than normal) I got this overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the position I find myself in.
When I worked my 9-5 corporate sales job, my bank account was significantly impacted if I got sick and missed 2-3 days of work.
I got sick pay, but I missed 3 days of earning commission and moving towards my bonus targets.
So this morning when I was rugged up in a blanket drinking some vitamin water concoction that my girlfriend brought to me, I felt blessed.
Blessed to have a team that can still fulfil work for clients.
Blessed to not have to force myself onto a train that’s taking me to a job that I hate. Just so I can make some decent money.
I’d like to think that my agency provides a service that makes our clients feel blessed too.
I’d like them to feel blessed that they don’t need to invest their time in making emails.
Blessed that they can kick their feet up a lil bit knowing that we’ll pull in at least 30% of their total revenue.
Blessed that they don’t have to stress about their front-end ROAS as much, because we have their backend systems dialled and they’ll be profitable in the end.
It feels good to be in this position.
And of course, I’m grateful for all of you reading this!
There are no links in this email, nothing to sell you or promote.
Just this message:
Take pride in your work, because it feels fucking good!
Much love,
Lachie
