We Lost $21,905 Because Of 1 Setting
Don't make this mistake...
In June, we ran a test on double opt-in for a clients’ email list.
Here are the results:
4,390 people submitted their email in the sign up forms.
The list only grew by 1,179 people.
Only 201 people unsubscribed.
This means there are 3,010 people unaccounted for.
These people never joined the list due to double opt-in.
From the 1,179 people that joined the list, they made $8,580.91 in revenue from the Welcome Series alone.
How much do you think they missed out on by NOT sending emails to the other 3,010 people?
Taking the same conversion rate as the 1,179 people that did join the list, it would be $21,905.
THEY LOST $21,905 in the month of June because of 1 setting.
I've now disabled double opt-in for July and will report back in a months' time with the results.
How To Disable Double Opt-In
Click into the list you want to edit in Klaviyo (it will be whatever list they submit their info to in the sign-up form)
Select Settings
Select Consent
Check the box next to Single opt-in
Save
