Why You're Stuck At 30% Klaviyo Revenue

And the quickest way to get to 40%+

When I was starting out in Email Marketing back in 2022, I was told that the benchmark for Email Attribution was 30%.

That was always my goal for client accounts. Get them to 30%, then I could be happy.

Now I’ve realised that you don’t need any actual skill to reach that point.

It’s like noobie gains in the gym. You don’t need a highly structured program or anything like that when you’re starting. Just go to the gym and lift some weights and you’ll see pretty rapid progress.

Once you start to plateau, it’s a good idea to incorporate more structure, track your workouts and ensure you are progressively overloading your muscles.

Same thing with your email results.

You can get to 30% of attributed revenue by having 4-5 flows and sending 8-10 campaigns per month.

But it’s not going to grow past that.

In turn, you’ll still be facing retention issues and lower profitability due to the need to consistently spend more and more on ads to grow the business MoM.

To get to 40%, 50%, 60%+ like we do consistently, you need to have the following:

  • 9 Flows with about 50 emails total that automatically bring in at least 20% of your entire business’ revenue

  • 12-15 Campaign emails sent every month (max. 1 sale being ran each month)

  • Optimised Sign-Up form converting at least 10% of site visitors
